cant intall new programs

i've just installed vista ultimate beta2 and since vista said i needed to first uninstall norton antivirus and zone alarm firewall in order to install vista, when the install was complete the only antivirus/firewall program vista sais is compatible is "pc-cillin" by trend-micro...but after downloading the file to desktop, it is nowhere to be found to install (even tried running it from a temp file). the same thing happens with any other program when i try to install i.e. lavasoft anti spyware etc....even though it shows i'm downloading and where to (also tried to my documents), its not saved anywhere...??

There is now a redirector. The Internet is an untrusted zone in the new security model (and you can't trust it) so any download is redirected to a sandbox. The location even gets its own virtual registry (just the relevant portion) so that in case of downloaded malware it can change the sandboxed virtual registry without writing to the real registry. That means searching for a download is a nightmare.

ok, so I am going to block that moron as well. BUT, I too am having the same problem and I saw your explanation, but how does one resolve this problem? I have experienced this with the trend AV file as well as new drivers for my sound card.
